Random Stories#1- chilD oN tHe doOrWAy

It was 10 PM.

The child stood at the door with his right hand on the door, waiting expectantly. His face was tense and a bit sad.

-------

It was 10 PM.

They were on a bike stuck in a traffic jam before a signal. She said to her husband adjusting her dupatta on her head, "Kamal would be up waiting for us, late ho gaya hain."  He bobbed his head up & down in affirmation. A dusty puff of wind played with his curly hair. " We will be there soon", he said.

-------

It was 10.05 PM..

He was still standing there with a slight terror building up. Where are pa and ma? He could hear Golu shouting BulBule in the TV, but his heart was not in his favorite tv show.

His heart was elsewhere, with his parents..

-------

It was 10.05 PM..

the traffic jam had cleared and the bike was vrooming through the light traffic. A cross road was coming up with amber traffic light blinking. He was speeding above 80 kph and did not slow down. She whispered, “Go slow..”, “hmmm.hmm”  was his response. Speed 80 kph.

An auto came in suddenly from the left side and he could only see this at the last second. He could not brake, so he swerved right to avoid the bike. He did not see a car which was right behind him which was poised to overtake them.  The car honked and he was rattled, panicking he froze.

Contact… tires screeched, noise of metal banging metal. When the dust settled, a bike was on the road, thrown off by a collision.

It was 10.06 PM.

---------

It was 10.10 PM.

He was still at the door, a dusty puff of wind played with his hair. He was now convinced that something had happened to his parents. He was also worried about choti, who was sleeping inside, suckling her thumbs.

It was 10.12 PM.

He could make out a bike light in the darkness coming towards his house.

His heart rose with happiness, as he made out the familiar helmets and engine sound.

His face was beaming brighter than the headlamps of his father's bike.

His mother alighted from the bike and said to him as she took of her helmet -  “Sorry beta, late ho gaya.  Papa had to drive carefully na in traffic. Lets go and have dinner, come beta”

Someone is always waiting at the door, expectantly.  Drive Safe, Be Safe.

Atom#1 - Musings on the Book “Autobiography of the Soul” – An Epic of the end of times (Authors: Valmeegi, Agasthyar)*

*Published by Gnanalayam Pondicherry

Humanity (most of it) has always been praying to God(s) in different ways and with various distortions.

All this is centered upon seeking and pleasing God as an omniscient omnipotent entity which can make or break the fortunes of the mortals. Only a few believe that the all-powerful God is actually within us, as the soul.

Good or bad fortune has always been associated to luck or lack of it, God’s hand hinted at, God’s antithesis (d) Evil credited or discredited. Only a few believe that it is a result of their own actions (karmic theory of restitution / retribution/reward), done in the past of their life or in the past lives.
Only a very few believe that there is no God and go about inventing selfish-genes and giving away awards in their own names. Some intellectuals (so called) harp on common sense without making any sense of the world around them, so it would seem.

This piece is not about God, its (not he or her) origins or why humans sustained a need to worship something external to them and which was not easily understood.

This is about who we are and what we are doing here on this planet in these trying times.

End of Days?

Recent turn of events, confirm a long held belief of end of times - the end of humanity and life as we know it. This was alluded or built into various religious belief systems as ‘pralaya’ or ‘apocalypse’ or ‘ judgement day’ or ‘ragnarok’.

‘apocalypse’ from Greek, literally meaning "an uncovering",  is a disclosure or revelation of knowledge and not end of times.  That is what has been happening – lot of revelations (rather than any asteroids or aliens on steroids) have been streaming in or rather channeled in but only those who cared noticed it.

Majority of the populace are blissfully going about their lives as if there is no end. For them ‘apocalypse’ is a cinematic genre as in sci-fi and fantasy movies with mysterious pandemics, asteroids, zombies, climatic cataclysms, Dalek invasions and crop failures necessitating interstellar journeys and intervention from the fifth dimension future selves. No, thou shall not be exterminated!! (thanks to Doctor Who :), Go TARDIS!!)

Global reset or cataclysms have been narrated in the Hindu and Christian belief systems – pralaya, Noah’s ark. While Hinduism / Sanatan Dharma maintains that creation is cyclical and goes around  infinitely from creation – sustenance – dissolution – creation, other belief systems have a judgement day or creation to cataclysm approach.

This piece is not discussing how we are going to be wiped off this planet. This piece is on the absolute premise that end of times is at hand, but not the biblical one but a true Greek apocalypse. All the information in the various religious scriptures of the planet have hidden meaning, which were sort of encrypted away, that shines only for the adept who is beyond prejudice and narrow beliefs, who has broken the shackles of half-truths and hypocrisies. The time is upon us where we must be ready to receive & process the revelation of knowledge.

To acquire knowledge, one must study; but to acquire wisdom, one must observe
